Anyone have feedback on the accuracy of Heart Rate monitoring on FitBit vs Apple Watch? My Apple Watch is registering some much lower heart rates than expected at times. Not sure if it’s reliable or my meds switch. #Wearables #wearabletech

It’s almost like we need continual research, repetition of studies, & funding for programs that isn’t tied to for-profit corporations or something. Also, maybe depression isn’t a catch all diagnosis with a singular cause/treatment or linear experience.

Today I feel like women matter less in this country. That my medical health, mental health, and body matter less than my ability to reproduce. Are we really going 50 years backwards? I’m scared of what they are coming for next.

I was asked if I see a lot of patients with neurological conditions after getting COVID. Taking a moment to think about it, I said “at least one to two patients a day.” And while I know the huge effect this virus has had on the population, actually quantifying it was terrifying.

Pediatrician here. I want people to know that death by firearm is not rare in kids. In fact, it has been the #1 cause death in this age group since 2020. In 2020 alone, 4300 children died from firearms. That’s equivalent to one Boeing 747 plane crash every month for 9 months.
