Last night when I was feeling clever, turns out I *was* clever. Good clever = simplifying. Bad clever = building brittle empires of code.
Code re-use is so good. I should tell Mom — she’d be proud. (Mom’s master’s was done on code re-use.)
Coding music lately has been a lot more New Order than you’d reasonably expect.
Feeling clever. Which makes alarm bells go off — that feeling is right only half the time. Slow down. Think.
Started finding and moving all the shared code into RSCore. This is the fun part!
Had some trouble getting the various run-tests command line things to work, so settled on the easy and expedient xcodebuild.
Here’s how I made a project that was only a unit tests bundle. Create an app, add a unit tests target, then delete the app target. Easy.

Nervous new http client build going to beta testers very soon.
New http client worked first time. That makes me very, very nervous.
My CFNetwork-based http client was created May 28, 2003. Now switching to NSURL*, almost seven years later.
64bit testing going well. No new bugs so far. Working on some quick-hit stuff, just to change gears.
Beta testers have dangerous 64bit build. My work is done for the day.
Oh, hey, it works, whaddayaknow. Maybe an hour out from private beta land.
No errors or warnings. But god knows what will happen if I run it.
What I’m doing right now is super-boring. Programming isn’t all fun and games. Alas.
Down to 167 warnings. (Almost all false-positive check formatting arguments.)
More reviewing 64bit changes. Might have build for private beta folks tonight. (Maybe.)
