Those rumours that the government wants you to eat bugs...turns out they are true. The @JustinTrudeau Liberal government has been funding Canadian companies with millions of dollars over the past few years to make crickets palatable to your diet. torontosun.com/opinion/column…
@brianlilley @JustinTrudeau We can say we're not eating bugs but when they are the only affordable food, we'll be eating bugs.
@brianlilley @JustinTrudeau I bought some cricket powder at one point, as it is high in nutrient value... But boy was it gross 😅
@brianlilley @JustinTrudeau @DDfarmerette Im gunna that adoption to move quicker so I can come live on the farm with you 😂
@brianlilley @JustinTrudeau People who eat the free hotdogs at Ford Fest: Crickets are disgusting!!
@brianlilley @JustinTrudeau “Research indicates that one in five Americans have tried crickets and more than half of adults can be persuaded to consume them in their diet, a trend that continues to increase as more consumers seek healthier and environmentally superior proteins,”. I call B.S.
Was the allocation of this funding debated in Parliament? Of course not. The ministry just spent money it had in some vague "research" bucket. Parliament needs to step up. Funds have to be allocated for well-defined purposes with explicit goals. If someone thinks eating bugs is a good idea, define an amount and put it to a vote. It's easy to blame Justin Trudeau and his desperate need for approval from Daddy Schwab and the WEF. But we have a system in place to put a stop to these things. Let's fix that system and make it work.
