Montgomery v. Louisiana is clear: a conviction under an unconstitutional law is illegal and void. Courts have no authority to leave such convictions or their disabilities in place. There is no grandfather clause for punishments the Constitution forbids. That rule applies to the Second Amendment. When a gun law fails Bruen—or exceeds an enumerated power—the convictions and ongoing disarmament under it are void. NICS denials, registration schemes, and state bans do not survive the holding. Enforce the Constitution.

Jakub Dziemaszkiewicz, 43, was a U.S. Army combat veteran who served in Afghanistan. He survived two helicopter crashes and an IED. He was the father of two young boys. On Friday night in Bristol, Connecticut, he was shot and killed by a police officer during a welfare check at his own home. Friends called Bristol PD around 8:38 p.m. concerned about his well-being. One caller said he had numerous firearms and “would not go down without a fight.” Officers learned he had more than a dozen registered firearms. Officer Mark McGrane went ahead of the others, encountered him near a tree line holding a rifle, ordered him to drop it and show his hands, then fired three shots hitting him in the face, neck, and torso. A rifle and a Glock were found next to his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Manner of death: homicide. He worked with the Disabled American Veterans, loved fishing with his sons, working on cars, and hiking with his three German shepherds. He had also testified against Connecticut’s “Glock Switch” bill. The Connecticut Office of the Inspector General released bodycam and drone footage. The bodycam has no audio. A welfare check should not end with a combat veteran and father of two dead on his own property.

Details are always sketchy after an incident like this but so far what we think we know is that Kaylub Giamanco, a straight white male father, husband & carpenter, broke SEVERAL unconstitutional Oregon state laws, risking his life and freedom, and used his concealed carry gun to kill the child murderer who was armed with a much more powerful and capable long gun in an absolutely chaotic environment saving an untold number of innocent lives. If the commie female governor of Oregon comes after this man I will personally start and train a posse of American citizens and break him out of jail. Two years ago, Everytown bragged about how it had helped get legal carry banned in more than half of schools in Oregon. Yesterday, someone had to ignore Everytown's reprehensible law to save lives, putting himself in legal peril to do so. The legislature should repeal it,

Congress currently has all the power to end all infringements on the 2nd amendment once and for all. They can pass legislation to legislate all this BS away. That’s the way to do it. Not a pinky promise that can be reversed by an anti gun Congress, a hung court of hand selected activist judges, or a hand selected anti gun ATF director. I’m not saying throw the baby out with the bath water. It’s awesome we have a pro gun guy at the helm. But I’m thinking of long term ramifications. It would seem this decision can be reversed as easily as it was implemented. It takes CONGRESSIONAL action to implement these ideas into law. I don’t see this as being out of the water yet. Hey a win is a win. Sure. Just saying don’t get complacent.
