American tourists talk about their Irish travels the same way dungeon masters talk about their mystical journey through Moridor or Narnia or some stupid fairy shit like that

My grandma: "Men were more gentlemanly back in the day" Also my grandma: "One time my 2 friends took a lift from some guys and then were taken to a field where they were threatened to perform sexual acts"

Watching period dramas and the couples kissing for the first time ever, the movies make it look so romantic but c'mon we all know that those lip virgins were actually fish-mouthing each other back in the day

Does anyone else get a weird headache anytime they enter a Dollar Store or Eurosaver, or have I subconsciously picked up those notions that Irish people have warned me about?

Today I learned that James Gandolfini almost became the new manager for "The Office" and I feel personally robbed of that experience #officeladiespodcast

I'm reading "Midnight Sun" for my podcast #badbookbash, & I just want y'all to know that the reason why Edward starts watching Bella in her sleep is bc he's paranoid a meteor could crash into her house. Then he spends the whole 8 hrs just smelling her. You're welcome

(2) this is the perfect example of systematic racism; on the surface my stepdad & his cronies said "oh we just want homeowners in our neighborhood" but in our garage they were spewing racial slurs and plotting systematic ways to get rid of the black people in our community

(1) Everyone needs to watch the new #LastWeekTonight about HOAs. When I was a kid, my stepdad proposed to our HOA to ban section 8 housing specifically bc he didn't like that black families were moving into our neighborhood. He had a lot of racist neighbors get behind him.

I bought a squatty potty for our bathroom, my fiance doesn't like it bc he's worried people are going to know that we poop. Sorry to disappoint all of you with this harrowing news 😥

Just remembering the first time I was hired as an engineer for a fintech company & a finance bro cousin of mine eagerly called me to say how happy he was that he "finally had someone to talk about investing with". Like nah bro I love you but I understand why you have no friends

New term I learned today: Male Alexithymia: when men have difficulty identifying and expressing emotions due to trauma & societal expectations of men suppressing feelings. Something I've seen from my guy friends & thought it was important to find the word for the term
