Why does rising JPY affect US markets? The yen carry trade. BOJ held rates lower than the rest of the world, so people borrowed yen to invest in US (and other) assets. Now Japan is raising rates and the trade is unwinding. Essentially the 2022 Fed pivot, but now it's the BOJ.

Sometimes when people tell me bitcoin is "captured" and isn't money, I tell them to give me a Lightning address and I'll give them hundreds of anon dollars. None of the critics have ever taken me up on the offer. It would be trivial if they had researched wallets. $700 gone.

Some people I talk to want to have a credit card like experience with #lightning, a plastic card they tap to pay with. I feel like that market is outdated. Whats the point when most people use Apple Pay or other phone payment methods nowadays? Curious what others think.
