One frustration we see a lot from struggling LDS is that they feel “forgotten” in their ward. Now sometimes wards have bed cultures and cliques. Sometimes leaders come up shorts on their responsibilities and lack discernment. Sometimes people are cruel. 🧵1/

So many LDS members have lost sight of the purpose of the church. It’s not to help you be a good person. It’s to help you develop the obedience to the laws and ordinances that are needed to righteously manage the full power of the priesthood and become joint heirs with Christ.

All of these are true. Black Lives Matter has done great damage to race relations. Black lives matter. There is racism. But some like to exaggerate it and indulge in victimhood. Others like to believe there is no racism. Lots of ppl have had enough on all sides.

My soul aches for all of those missionaries who thought they were making the greatest sacrifice of their lives by giving 2 years away from home and family...only to find out that the bigger sacrifice would be coming home. I’m grateful for their courage and faith.
