In my latest paper for the @InstituteGC, I highlight the security threats facing Nigeria's 2023 elections and urge Nigerian authorities and their international partners to provide peaceful and credible elections. bit.ly/3iuWXC1
The report reveals the four major threats: 1. Non-state armed groups, namely Boko Haram, IPOB and bandits. 2. Post-election violence 3. Political thuggery 4. Misinformation, especially on social media.
@bulamabukarti @InstituteGC IPOB is not violent. Like any reasonable person, IPOB, does not believe in the flawed election. But IPOB did not attack any election infrastructure and did not violently enforce any lockdown. The violence is being carried out by Nigerian Secret police in order to blackmail IPOB.
@bulamabukarti @InstituteGC IPOB is a peaceful movement seeking #ReferendumForBiafra. IPOB owns the land, if IPOB is violent, you will not need conjectures and hypothesis to determine that. It will be publicly announced. The mandate of ESN is limited to quell Fulani terrorists and other criminalities
@bulamabukarti @InstituteGC False Report. What you call "faction" are not even IPOB members. The Nigerian Government infiltrated IPOB so as to criminalize and blackmail it. Ever since the Nigerian Government unlawfully kidnapped the IPOB leader, they intensified their blackmail
@bulamabukarti @InstituteGC Not this terrorism sympathizer trying to blackmail IPOB. He's no issues with Igbos being killed but where he draws the Line is when we start speaking
