London Old Boys’ Book Club tomorrow, Sunday the 12th. Perhaps they’ll discuss whether the Billy Bunter character will ever become widely popular again. It’s remarkable people remember him instantly as a cultural reference. The Club retains its name from the 1940s.

Will Frank Richards’s / Charles Hamilton’s works ever be widely republished? No one of influence seems interested, even when I try to provoke them with reference to the politically incorrect passages.
