everyone should obviously parent the way that works best for them, they really should, but i actually like playing with my lil dude. and i know one day i'm gonna miss these moments and i'll have all the time in the world to myself and my own preferences.

i always ask jenée, like, "do you remember the last time you cuddled with your parents?" and though it's kind of a bummer, it's really to remind myself how fleeting all of this shit is.
@byjoelanderson 🎯that’s why I rarely say no when my daughter wants to play with me. There will be a time when they won’t want to do anything with you they just want to be with their friends and then you will be sad
@byjoelanderson the time goes so fast. so fast. you don't realize it until it gone.
@byjoelanderson I hate I was so hardcore about not letting mine sleep with me on the weekends. The time really does fly by. Cherish all of it.
@byjoelanderson So the fact that as parents they're trying to say that playing and interacting with your kids is a bad thing you just know that's going to bite them in the ass later in life. My son and daughter and I bonded so much over them trying to jump me. 🤣
@byjoelanderson Man, as a hella involved parent of a four and seven year old, my first reaction is "cool I get it and sounds nice" but then I remember how many dope conversations I witness being immersed in the imaginary worlds my daughter's create.
