A short airborne hop doesn't need to be called "flight" to be impressive. Innovation deserves admiration. Precision in how we describe it matters just as much. Tesla doesn't need to build an eagle to impress us. Building an extraordinary frog is enough.
To be fair to physics: rockets fly without wings, and every aircraft eventually refuels. So using compressed-gas thrusters isn't what disqualifies it. The real test is duration and control—sustained, navigable airborne travel vs. rising and descending for a few seconds.
