George Russell: I can at least be proud of myself that I’ve always put up a fight and always done my utmost to keep myself in the fight. I’ve got a great team around me, and this won’t be my last shot when I’ve got a car beneath me that can fight for victory. 🥹🩵 I will be there with you till we reach that day George 🩵🫶. x.com/gr1agenda/stat…

"But I intend to be here for many, many, many years to come, and you can't give up when you're being kicked to the floor. You've got to bounce back. I can at least be proud that I've given it my all in that regard." THE GR1ND MAY BE OVER THIS SEASON BUT WE'LL GO AGAIN IN NEXT SEASON AND THATS MEAN IT NEVER STOP!!!

George Russell’s career trajectory is the epitome of right place wrong time. And that’s what made me gravitate toward being his fan from the beginning. He’s a tremendous talent who has been served knock-down after knock-down and he gets back up with almost annoying resilience and makes the most out of the circumstances. A lot of people like to watch F1 for various reasons, and I certainly enjoy multiple different aspects of the sport from the strategy, the technicality, but also the driver circumstances. I’m not a glory hunter, because to me that’s too easy. I know too many people who become fans of a driver when they start winning, just like they become fans of whatever sports team begins dominating. I can relate a lot of my personal life to the George Russell trajectory, and to me he’s a champion in the making. He may not be a “generational talent”, he may not win multiple or back-to-back championships, but he will definitely win a championship. And he’ll do it for the ones who are the underdogs. For the ones who get knocked down and get back up. Because that’s exactly who he is, and what he’s done up to now.

🚨 George 🗣️”It has been a very unique season, it has been a season where it’s, tested my character and resilience a lot and having to look at myself in the mirror numerous times and think ‘How do I want to bounce back from these blows? Do I just want to give up and accept the misfortune or the poor performances or do I want to try and rectify it and make the most of it and control everything I can control. And I can at least be proud of myself that I’ve always put up a fight and I’ve always done my utmost to keep myself in the fight and, you know, I’ve got a great team around me, and this won’t be my last shot when I’ve got a car beneath me that can fight for victory, so yeah into this weekend, see what we can do, try and get Mercedes back on top because it’s been a while and let’s see what the future holds” “I don’t really have any major feelings running through my body when I say that we’re no longer in the fight this season because I think when I look back earlier in the year, the things that were keeping me up at night wasn’t necessarily the fact of the championship, it was more that my performance wasn’t where I wanted it to be, and it was like, ‘well how am I gonna get my performance back to the levels I know I’m capable of? What is it I need from the car? What do I need to change in my driving to get back in top of things?’ And then obviously with the misfortune that just sort of added salt to the wound, but you know, I intend to be here for many many many years to come and you can’t give up when you’re, you know, being kicked to the floor and you gotta bounce back, you gotta bounce back even stronger and I can at least be proud that I’ve given it my all in that regard”

GT racing legend Johnny Mowlem talks about George's season. He is one of the few to address the straight-line speed issues at Spa and how these problems were underestimated by Mercedes.

Fred on his relationship with George Russell: “George has been a big supporter of my career, and he's a friend of mine. I remember in F2 he would call me after a race, be like, Fred, what are you doing on that start? You needs to do this and that. So he has definitely helped me out over the years. I respect George so much for his hard work and his brain. He's definitely very, very invested alongside the engineers in how he prepares his races, how he looks at himself during the race weekends. He has a very analytical brain, which is something I can see myself in. I'm also typically, when I'm racing in endurance, I'm typically the guy asking the engineering questions and how can we do this, or looking at the data to improve. And yeah, George does that really well.” x.com/filosofiruang/…
