It is such very hard times for sheep farmers in Western Australia. It's been a very teary day for me. Started organising a neighbour to dig a pit big enough to put 3,000+ sheep in. This video shows our beautiful lambs. I can't cope with the thought of shooting them. No buyers.
@calukafarms You’re farming wrong. This much excess production is your choice. And now 3000 precious creatures will needlessly die as a result. Irresponsible.
@calukafarms You need to dig a hole big enough to put your corrupt government in!
@calukafarms What about letting people “adopt” one or 5 to help pay for their feed? This is the most heartbreaking thing I’ve seen in years. Is the government behind this somehow?
@calukafarms No direct sale to the public? Possibility of hiring a contract butcher to process orders as they come in? I know that all requires capital, but surely theres a way to avoid wasting such a valuable resource. Either way, you have my sympathy and my ear.
@calukafarms If I were you I’d hire a Muslim butcher advertise halal whole sheep cut up and sell it . You make money the meat doesn’t go to waste and do a combination for different food needs specially in times like this where inflation is high
@calukafarms Brother contact all the Muslim butchers in Sydney they’ll happily buy it off you don’t waste them
@calukafarms Can’t believe there’s no buyers for your lamb. How many do you have ? I know someone how might be interested But they have to be slaughtered first for export Can you arrange that ?
@calukafarms Is there no Greek community or local butchers in WA. Wtf is going on here.
@calukafarms do not kill your goats this plays into the government hands
