Russland har lykkes med å gjøre dronebomber, cyberangrep, valgpåvirkning og ildspåsettelse til den nye normalen. Imens er NATOs artikkel fem blitt vannet ut. De hever terskelen. De har initiativet. Vi reagerer med «hard forsømmelse» og et par utviste diplomater. Europas politikere ser ut til å nekte å tro på at vi er under angrep. For Putin betyr det grønt lys til mere.

On February 19, 1992, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially approved the Trident (Tryzub) as the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine, reaffirming continuity with the Ukrainian People’s Republic, which had adopted the Tryzub as its state emblem back in 1918. The Tryzub traces its origins back over a thousand years. In the times of Rus it was a Riuryk dynasty symbol and appeared on coins, seals, and weapons. In the 20th century, it became a symbol of Ukraine’s struggle for independence, was banned by the Soviet regime, yet withstood as a mark of our statehood and freedom. Following the restoration of Independence in 1991, reinstating the Tryzub as the Small State Emblem became an act of historical justice. Today, it represents Ukrainian sovereignty, unity, and an unbroken continuity for Ukrainians both at home and across the globe.
