Sex work is not work. When a woman is hungry you don't put a penis in her mouth.
@cathy_mudge Sex work is, in fact, work. You'd know this if you'd ever done it. Also, women are not the sole category of sex workers, and men are not the sole purchaser thereof
@mysicksadlife @MorgothArc @cathy_mudge I wonder why they are so threatened by people choosing to do stuff with their own bodies? in b4 "so you are for sex trade / enslavement" bs - we are talking about people who choose to work, not people forced to work.
@minoc2 @mysicksadlife @MorgothArc You may be talking about people who choose to work, I am sure they are very vocal themselves. I am saying those who have no choice and are often exposed to violence and even murder, the sex enslavement you talk of, they cannot be said to be 'at work'. Stop trying to justify it.
@cathy_mudge @mysicksadlife @MorgothArc I win. And do not pretend you have been talking about sex enslavement the whole time.
@cathy_mudge @minoc2 @mysicksadlife @MorgothArc Sex work is work. Forced labour is always wrong. It doesn't matter if that labour is sexual, manual, what have you. However, voluntary, consenting work is not, by definition, forced labour, be it sexual, manual, what have you.
@cathy_mudge @minoc2 @MorgothArc If you're talking about one (1) area of worker exploitation, not all sex work, perhaps don't generalize with statements like "sex work is not work". It is. And sex workers deserve protections, as all workers do. Something tells me you're not all that invested in workers' rights.
@cathy_mudge @minoc2 @MorgothArc What are your thoughts on universal basic income?
