A freeze on legal aid payments after years of underfunding and when solicitors specialising in criminal work are already struggling, will push many over the edge. That will be disastrous for the justice system in the mid to long-term.
How can @scotgov can say they are "continuing to support" justice agencies when they've just announced a further 5 year freeze to legal aid rates that are already the same now as they were 23 years ago? The criminal bar is dying on your watch @AshtenRegan and @KeithBrownSNP.
