"I would say that we must do everything possible to help Ukraine," said Yair Lapid, former Prime Minister of Israel and leader of the opposition party "Yesh Atid." About a month and a half before the parliamentary elections in Israel, Lapid gave an interview to journalists from the publication "Ulpan. Lapid also recalled the weak and inconsistent reaction of world leaders to the Russian full-scale invasion and admitted that it was largely wrong. "When it happened, people were horrified because there was no logic to it: a large democratic country is being attacked in Europe in the 21st century without any reason. Yes, I was wrong, and everyone else was wrong too. I think we were wrong because we were operating based on logic, but the decision to invade Ukraine was illogical.
