Maybe this market falls apart or I get stopped on my positions and have to go back into cash, but as far back as I can remember (41-years trading), when there's a bunch of stocks setting up and I'm nervous as a long tailed cat in a room of rocking chairs (as many are right now), a leg up ensued. As I said earlier, I would like to see the IBD50 breakout. Mid caps and small caps joining the party would likely give us an "easy dollar" trading environment.

The "hot" CPI was not that hot, and will probably not have much effect on future Fed cuts. The upcoming election is the overhang on the market keeping volatility elevated. Although, election years tend to be bullish the last 6 months and post 6 months of the election year. minervini.com

Mild inflation is better than deflation that leads us to recession. As long as the economy is not growing "fast" (much more than 3%), the goldilocks balancing act can keep the bull market alive.
