Valuation matters far, far less than the decision of whether to invest or not. The spread between bargain and outrageous startup valuations can't be more than 5x, in a world where the best investments can return 1000x.

Soccer is not much different than VC: You scout talent early (player/founder) & build a portfolio (team/deals). E.g. Eden Visca & Abdullah Avcı @Trabzonspor_en. They both have been at it for a decade, akin to a VC fund cycle. Well-earned title & TVPI (2-very-prolific-investors)!
