@FightHaven Fired? Really? That was a pretty well restrained self defense. Just because it’s someone under 18 attacking doesn’t mean a teacher should lose the right to self defense.
Give these teachers a break. If that was my child, I would have been completely okay with that teacher doing what he did to defend himself. I have two children of my own. My children never would have done that, but if they had, I would think that what that teacher did was justified to defend himself. There's no reason to fire him. The teachers actions were not hostile in any manner other than him throwing papers, but again, give the guy a break. It's an extremely stressful situation to be put in. He's basically in the middle of a circus.
@FightHaven So underpaid, overworked, stressed out teachers getting bullied by spoiled, disrespectful teenagers cant defend themselves? Kids today have access to so much knowledge and have no education because they think they’re superior. Pretty soon no more teachers will exist. Homeschool😢
@FightHaven He definitely should not have been fired. The kid should have been expelled. You step up to a teacher like that. gone. We need to stop letting the learning of well behaved students be ruined by kids like this.
@davidgokhshtein @FightHaven He never put him in a headlock, just grabbed him in his upper body, to restrain him. The student needs to be charged with assault and battery, and the teacher needs to sue the school for wrongful termination!
