the hidden cost of bad ai use = your reputation. every time you send AI slop, you're teaching your team that you're replaceable. they stop coming to you for insight & start seeing you as the person who forwards chatgpt responses.
stop chasing viral ai tools you can't actually use at work. start here: > what tools does your company already approve? > which ones have ai features you're ignoring? > how can you master those first? becoming great at approved tools > being mediocre at 47 banned ones.
you should be able to adjust your social feed by your current goal or mood. need a quick laugh, only see funny posts aligned to your interests. feel like learning, see educational posts. want a quick update on your fav sports teams. and so on… curated filtering.
i wish X had ai summaries. look at a trend, see the major info and prevailing sentiments. all without having to engage grok :)
the ai field creates hype around every release. it's confusing for normal people. most drops won't change your day-to-day work. but the constant progression means what doesn't work today might work tomorrow. stay aware. don't chase every drop.
everyone sells ai as "I built this in 10 minutes!" what they don't tell you: they've been using that tool for a year. the learning curve is real. most people quit at day 1. winners? they pick ONE tool & get good at it instead of chasing new releases.
non-technical people don't realize chatgpt will teach them the stuff IT doesn't have time to explain: > walk me through this excel formula > explain this tool step-by-step > show me how to build an automation STOP using ai to do your work. START using it to improve your work.
when ai helps you, you love it. when it helps others do your thing, you dismiss it. that's identity protection, disguised as quality control. help them or watch your role shrink while you gatekeep.
