Feeling the pain is the first step toward healing the pain. We can numb it, ignore it, or pretend it doesn’t exist, but those options lead to an eventual breakdown, not a breakthrough.  The longer we avoid the feeling, the more we delay our healing.

When my heart aches over not-yet-answered prayers, I know I need to stop and remember the times God has clearly provided for me in ways that only He could. Ways both big and small. Looking at God's faithfulness to provide helps me see if He did it before, He will do it again.

It’s hard when a string of good days suddenly gives way to an unexpected emotional crash. But I’ve discovered those days don’t have to be setbacks. They can be evidence you’re moving through the hardest parts of healing. Don’t give up. There’s a beautiful remaking in process.
