Anne M. Vella, Ed.D., the founding teacher for Class Act, the school within USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital, retired this summer after 35 years of service. Surrounded by family and friends, she was celebrated with a dinosaur-themed sendoff in the fourth-floor classroom.
USA Health is welcoming 40 teen volunteers this summer to assist with a number of programs and projects while they learn more about careers in healthcare. ow.ly/cnrf50W7Ses

When you can't leave the hospital for the holidays, sometimes the holidays come to you. That’s what happened today when our patients visited an outdoor courtyard that was transformed into a miniature tree-farm. Thank you @AceHardware and @CMNHospitals!
Thank you to Mr. Doug Harwell from the MCPSS School Board for your continued generosity to the staff and patients at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital.
Staff dressed up and handed out candy to young patients who left their rooms to trick or treat in the courtyard and breezeway of the hospital. Those who couldn't leave their rooms were treated to bedside deliveries filled with candy and other novelty items.
If I’m not in my hospital room…I’m in the classroom!

In memory of our sweet Braxton, our school donated $316.50 to USA Children's and Women's Hospital. Throughout his years at our school, Braxton was always a shining light with his sweet smile and talk of superheroes! We love you, Braxton! ❤️🐝
