Tyler Stewart arranges for and teaches the marching percussion section at Huntley HS and teaches the drumline at Prospect HS. Tyler is a proud alumnus of the Thunder, having played snare drum with the group since it’s inaugural season. Tyler teaches English at Wauconda HS.

Staff Spotlight -- Sam Shepard - Battery Coordinator Sam was a member of Green Thunder Percussion and Cavaliers Indoor Percussion from 2012-2017. After some time on the West coast he is happy to be back in Chicago with family and friends, and reconnecting with good pizza.

Staff Spotlight-Bryan Jamison Bryan studied Music Ed at VanderCook College. He was a member of Green Thunder and Cavaliers Indoor front ensembles. Bryan has been a vital part of Thunder since Day 1. He is the Director, lead music designer, and front ensemble writer.

Staff Spotlight -- Josh Vezina, Snare tech. Josh was on the snare line at Victor J Andrew HS, marching both in the band and their indoor line. He then attended NIU where he was on the snare line for 5 years, 3 as the drum captain. He performed with Evolution Indoor.

Staff Spotlight -- Craig Hatter -- Battery Instructor Craig Hatter currently serves as the Assistant Band Director for Morton High School and Junior High. Craig holds both a Bachelors of Music Education and Percussion Performance from the University of Iowa.

Staff Spotlight -- Katie Klipstein Katie Klipstein received Bachelors degrees in music education and music performance in percussion from Illinois State University. She teaches K-6 music and choir in Palatine. Dist. 15. This will be her 2nd year teaching FE with Thunder.

Staff Spotlight Ben Hepner Bass Tech. Ben will be graduating from Northern Illinois University this December with a Bachelors of Music Performance degree. He is serving as the assistant percussion ensemble director at College of Dupage.
