Solid take.
The english purity test has necessitated itself into existence because of the mass importation of hostile forces (those who have an allegiance to a different nation), and the inevitable sectarianism that spawns from this.
The purity test is simply the reaction of a native population seeing a hostile force wear their name as a skin suit. It's a predictable human response. When a name like "english" is taken by a hostile force, the original owners will naturally fight to have it back by any means.
It would have never arose if the immigrant population was overwhelmingly assimilated and remained a single-digit percentage made up of patriotic Salman Anwars.
Unfortunately, it has not. Therefore, down we will go into sectarianistism and ethnic warfare.
There's obviously an ancient English ethnicity, and there's also clearly an English civic identity - those two things coexist peacefully
Most people think Ian Wright or Frank Bruno are English despite them obviously having migrant heritage
The only reason we keep having this
My post about the roman empire having this voting system really did make a rumble didn't it.
So uh, yeah, the only way to actually have a functional society longer than a century or so is to create a weighted voting system. This has been proven time and time again for 2,500 years. It's simple:
Jobless/homeless: 1 vote
Employed: 2 votes
Net contributor: 3 votes
It is the only way to avoid the mass indolence we suffer today in the UK, which has led us to our current situation of democracy by client voting bloc.
Even max T :(
So all conversations about growth are wrong because the government can make growth or growth per capita whatever it wants. They can do this because our government can spend what it wants with debt and that spend is included in GDP, and then the governmenr can just ignore massive population growth with the UK Census. Both form the nominator and denumerator in all key growth stats.
The UK government can just borrow a bunch of money, hire a bunch of lanyards into NHS admin, and then their salaries are included in GDP. Easy peasy. They don't show it on the telly because if Moody's sees a headline like "UK real terms growth was -8.4%", we'd immediately get downgraded and then like Greece in August 2009 we'd go into a severe economic crisis.
I've written about this in my Fake Numbers series. The median salary has declined in real terms 40% since 1998 (the highest it ever got). UK real GDP (PPP) per capita stayed the same between 1998 and 2008, and has declined since then until 2026.
How does anyone think that real growth stats can always remain within this magical tiny range between -0.1% and +0.2%? I have no idea how anyone believes a metric so exposed to so many extremely variable external forces can remain ~exact the same value for decades?
Your all becoming impoverished.
The real terms economy is -2% or something YoY, and all AI will do is change it to -1.5%.
Most recent studies show that ~every kid now has reported seeing some form of death (road killing, drone bombings, isis stuff, kirk, etc.).
So your premise of making the population 'ARD doesn't track?
It's simpler: A) it disincentivizes, and B) killing off the bottom one to two percentiles of each generation has a strong eugenic effect, given that ~100% of crime is committed by the bottom 1-2 percentiles (this has also been confirmed by studies for decades).
Sold my SpaceX shares today. Mostly as a middle finger to Labour.
I bought these recently; in 2 weeks I made more than you would in 41.6 weeks of Labour's new revolutionary petrol prices google maps scheme (estimated 40 quid per year saving).
I made 20.8 times more money by just clicking a green button on my lunch breaks.
Keep PAYEing! HOPE!
Everyone is surprised that boomers spend their wealth rather than share with their offspring.
Well what did you expect to happen when the economic competitive unit was culturally changed from family vs family to person vs person, and meritocracy was put into the zeitgeist?
Before boomers, your family was a unit against other families. After boomers, the culture was changed to "send off your kids to compete in the big wide world against everyone else's kids; trial of combat style."
What did you think the new massive focus on "nepotism" (which never meaningfully existed before boomers) was going to do?
It was all only going to disincentivize the concept of big inheritances. Obviously.
@srajagopalan Why did all those indians leave india in the first place? No reason?
Why do I see hordes of indians on reddit threatening to end themselves if they have to go back to india because their H1B was revoked? No reason?
@Zakka_Jacob China only has the K-visa system though, which is highly selective. H1B was highly unselective. The H1B role database is literally public; you can see for yourself that the jobs are not exactly of the high-skill, China-busting variety.
Did you even bother research anything?
By education, I am a scientist. So, I mean this in an academic context. I need a biology academic to explain this:
Why is it academically accepted that there are innate physical differences between groups of people (skin color, hair, shape, etc.), but it is almost always denied that there are any meaningful innate neurological differences? This seems like an odd, unexplained dichotomy.
Second question, if I may take up some more of your time: Does your answer to that question explain why I speak to so many human biologists/geneticists who are no longer professional human biologists/geneticists?
Okay, third question; why not, since I have you here anyway: Why does the species Homo Sapien exist when the genetic variation of members within it is too large for a single species by the very definition that biology academia itself uses for other animals?
For example, dogs and wolves are typically more related (fixation index) than groups of people, however they get a different name and subspecies, but we as people do not get a different name and species/subspecies. Why is this?
Thank you!
I think it’s funny that we will never be able to admit that we have an entirely different species of Stone Age hominid walking amongst us because of the Pandora’s Box of racism that it would open.
Also do not research "Bony Ridge". Do not research anything about human physiology or geneology, for that matter. Nothing.
The current world order only works if we merge two branches under Homo Sapiens. It cannot persist if we had a bi-species model a la Homo Eurasiae and Homo Africae.
Do not also look at what Fixation Index threshold is typical of species differentiation.
Just don't go down the rabbit hole. Nope.
@punishedforest Do not, and I repeat do not research Fixation Index.
Do not see what it is between a dog and a wolf.
Do not find out what it is between groups of people.
I repeat, don't do this. You'll probably never recover.
Look at the whopping client voting bloc on that. It isn't even implicit. Such is sectarianism I suppose.
The Greeks would be able to tell us what it's been like to deal with this, given the multiple attempts of the Turkish trying to demographically min-max their way to stealing municipal control.
The Greek government had to implement special laws to prevent Turkish ghetto sectors from taking control of some municipalities. Greece has been embattled with the Turkish in some form for at least 1,000 years. They've had a millenium to perfect antisectarianism. Dealing with them constantly trying to gain pockets of control in Greece by all sorts of sneaky demographical methods has become a constantly refined art form.
The green shirefolk of the UK, on the other hand, only know of their esteemed guests for ~80 years, less than a tenth of the time. Our laws are not yet refined to such tactics yet. The UK political and legal system is nowhere near prepared to defend against the oncoming scourge of sectariansim that Khan-types represent.
History repeats, we redo what has already been done elsewhere.
Decline.
Great energy here in Holborn and St Pancras - speaking to local residents with @Sagal_AW - who would be a terrific advocate in Parliament.
Polls are open until 10pm - and every vote matters. #VoteLabour
@grok can you summarize this dude's unimaginably long rambling unhinged nonsense about Rubio's speech into one brief sentence please? Anything even 25% related to what Rubio said and is even remotely intelligible would do. Thanks.
