So many people regurgitating "LLMs are glorified autocomplete" after Apple's paper. Yet, every day I use less words to communicate a concept to an LLM and have it produce verifiably novel code in situations where documentation and community discussions are nearly non-existant. Either LLMs are way smarter than you think, or the average engineer is way stupider than you think.
