Honestly, it's been hard watching people turned away from this community or told their contributions are no longer valued. There's still plenty of good, talented people working really hard in WordPress, but it's hard not to notice the leadership/vision vacuum we're now in.

The only alignment I care about in WordPress: 1. Make great software 2. Market the shit out of it Everything else is secondary. I'm hopeful that project leadership will narrow its focus and outline a vision of where WP is going next so we can all align on that.

If you are a junior frontend dev, stop screwing around. Do these 5 things: • Master fundamentals (#HTML, #CSS, #JS) • Build projects with vanilla JS • Understand DS & algorithms • Pick up any JS framework • Build more You can’t fail if you do these 5 things consistently.
