那我就更不理解价格一样的情况下为什么要去经销商买了…如果重点是ledger自己生产的设备不经过经销商都不安全的话，那这个没法预防的，毕竟ledger已经是公认的最安全的冷钱包了，他们有个部门每天就是负责想方设法黑进ledger的硬件，这次经销商事件很明显是第三方的人为因素。 而且从数据来看，这次ledger经销商的事件再加上前两个月的coldcard被盗事件，冷钱包问题导致的损失差不多$2亿；交易所破产或者被盗（比如FTX，Celsius和Bybit）导致的损失加起来都$120亿了，完全不是一个量级… 所以冷钱包还是最安全的持有方式，脑子清醒点的人都知道为什么最近冷钱包一直被爆出问题了（想想ETF券商和交易所的利益吧，细得就不多说了）

@gcsbtc 经销商如果不有点折扣为什么要在经销商买呢？就像苹果的设备如果电商没有折扣为什么不直接去苹果的官网买呢？ledger的设备一个道理啊，又没有供货短缺的问题，但凡有点安全意识的人如果不贪便宜为了点折扣谁会闲着没事去经销商买？都用冷钱包了这点安全意识都没有的话那还是老老实实放在交易所吧…

Bij dezelfde functie, kwalificaties en werkervaring hebben lokale witte kandidaten vaak de beste kansen. Daarna komen kandidaten die geen visum nodig hebben. En zelfs binnen die groep lijken Aziaten vaak onderaan de ladder te staan. Ironisch genoeg behoren Aziaten tot de hardst werkende groepen. Maar door geopolitieke spanningen en een gevoel van superioriteit onder de lokale bevolking worden ze steeds vaker onzichtbaar in een hokje geplaatst. Niemand zal dit openlijk toegeven. Niemand zal het expliciet benoemen. Maar de onzichtbare vooroordelen blijven bestaan. Een pessimistische conclusie, maar voor velen een pijnlijke realiteit.

Europe doesn’t have a talent problem. It has a talent mobility problem. The more I observe the European job market, the more I understand why career mobility feels fundamentally different here compared with the US and Asia. One of the biggest problems in Europe is how rigid hiring can be. Employers often focus heavily on direct experience: the exact function, industry, role, and number of years. Even when someone has highly transferable skills and the fundamental qualities needed for the job, not having done exactly the same thing before can be enough to prevent them from even getting an interview. The US and much of Asia seem far more pragmatic in comparison. You may not have done the exact job before, but if you can demonstrate the right fundamental capabilities and transferable skills, companies are more willing to give you a chance to prove yourself. And this difference goes far beyond how difficult it is to find a job. It affects talent mobility as a whole. In Europe, there may still be some flexibility early in your career. But the more senior you become, the more your past experience seems to define your future. If you have worked in procurement, you are expected to stay in procurement. If you have spent years in one specific function, moving even into an adjacent field can become surprisingly difficult, regardless of how transferable your skills are. After comparing experiences with looking for jobs in both Europe and the US, the contrast becomes difficult to ignore. It is not obvious that those searching in Europe are putting in less effort or have significantly weaker profiles. Yet in the US, you see people move from relatively unknown companies or adjacent fields into well-known or big tech companies, while in Europe, even a move into a related function can be difficult. To some extent, this may reflect something deeper about Europe itself: stability, strong rules, strong welfare (aka. taxing the richer/upper-middle class to death) and well-established systems, but also rigidity. That rigidity has obvious benefits - regulation, worker protection, food safety and institutional stability, for example. But the trade-off may be lower social and professional mobility. The US and Asia are certainly not perfectly meritocratic or fair. But the underlying mentality often feels more pragmatic: Can you solve the problem? Do you have the fundamental ability to do the job? If yes, you deserve a chance to prove it. If a system primarily values exactly what you have done in the past rather than what you are capable of doing next, it does more than restrict individual career choices. It restricts the mobility of talent itself. And perhaps that is one of the reasons why some people eventually realize that they are not struggling because they are incapable - they simply do not thrive in an environment where everyone is expected to remain in the box they were originally placed in. All in all, Europe is just a fallen continent.

@semtrades 36% belasting op een fictief rendement van 6% is ook niet prima. Dat is in wezen een vermogensbelasting van 2,16% per jaar, veel te hoog bro…
