When was the last time that you spoke poetically? Writers, poets, songwriters, philosophers — you know what I mean. There is a way that we speak when we speak with intent and art in our throats that is somehow different than our everyday speech. It has been too long for too many.

I’m preparing for a live music karaoke event and Sk8er Boi has been added to the list. I was never one to hate on “not my music” but I was still too tunnel-visioned when I was young and wanted everything hard/heavy/crunchy. You never know what you’ll grow to relate to later.

Tip for 2023: Treat EVERYONE with respect & due kindness, regardless of so called “influence” or “follows”. If not for just being a decent person, then for the fact that you never know who’s connected to whom, who’s friends with whom! The world is smaller than you think.

At a small NYE party with game industry friends and now we’re all comparing #dnd stories. This is why we sometimes run modules: it creates larger #ttrpgcommunity between tables. “How did your group handle X in Curse of Strahd? Oh that’s cool, we did…” Instant community.

Not in the industry but a big impact to my RP life: @JesseHeinig stopped by our Sabbat VtM LARP ~20 years ago and later took some of us to a park for some RP in the sun. Thanks for giving us the best answer to "hey do you remember when that vampire guy took us into the woods?"
