I saw this video this morning on my feed and I think it so eloquently explains what Charlie Kirk was put on this earth to do. “When people stop talking, that’s when you get violence, that is when civil war happens”
In a properly liberal state (of things): There is the rule of law - Everyone is equal under the law, no matter their skin color or other traits. - Prisons exist to hold lawbreakers. - Corrupt judges face prosecution and trials. - Repeat offenders are held accountable.

Multiculturalism can work on certain sublevels of a society (like food, art). When extended to society as a whole, it means antagonistic tribalism, unequal application of the law, lack of political culture, and a decline in the societal trust below stability & prosperity.
My current estimation is: The EU would like to directly meddle in Ukraine, fighting against Russia's sphere of influence. But it structurally lacks military power. Russia would like to keep the war as it is, as it would be irrational to offensively attack any EU or NATO country.

For acutely dangerous AND mentally ill people yes. With a lot of legal hurdles and possibilities for regular checks of necessity. I currently would say: As much Thomas Szasz as possible here. If not necessary--put criminals in prison. (Another topic is: prison reform.)

Public Choice as ideal and Democracy -- make it public: transparent government, free speech, open discussions. make it a choice: free markets, candidate-open elections and plebiscites, a well-maintained political culture, equality under law.

It seems to me to be the mistake of dismissing an honest critic entirely--simply because one dislikes their criticism in a particular instance. Even if you don’t agree, sincere criticism is valuable for self-correction and internal debate. @RandPaul has a record of earnestness.
