City Protocol co-founder @jerome_wong99 on why City Protocol provides the rails: City Protocol is built as a neutral platform. The goal is to onboard as many vetted, high-quality strategies as possible and offer them to users. Being the rails earns less than running a fund. A fund on 2 and 20 can take around 6% a year, while vault infrastructure earns 50 to 100 bps. City Protocol chose neutrality anyway. It has two product lines: curator vaults for yield, and OTPs, the Onchain Token Portfolios built on tokenized equities. City Protocol co-founder @kylemonade_ on the gap tokenization still has to close: A tokenized product today is still a claim on the asset. Final settlement happens with the authoritative entities off-chain, so the market runs in two worlds. We expects the two systems to merge for the sake of efficiency, and City Protocol is building toward that. Full video:

As the platform develops, we expect to see a wider variety of onchain structured products. Our recently launched Onchain Tokenized Portfolios (OTPs), powered by tokenized stocks, are one step toward making structured products more flexible, private, and transparent.
