I don't think karma is real. I think it's something us common folks have made up to feel better about the lack of justice we receive. Shit people royally fuck over good people & have the money, power & influence to get away with it. Fuck shitty people.
As a scientist I don’t actually believe in many things like this. But I’m also quite spiritual and imaginative. So sometimes it gets the better of me. I think it’s a “personal” karma and it’s all about self perception, in the sense that what you believe your actions represent is all that matters. It’s a bias. It’s a bit hard to explain, but some people don’t consider their actions “evil” or “bad”. They truly believe what they are doing is justified. Or they just don’t care. So there is no reason in their universe they should be punished or suffer in return. Meanwhile other people would never lie or cheat and feel horrible about taking advantage of anything, and when they get the short end of the stick all those negative actions make them feel responsible. It’s a way to make meaning of readiness and entropy when there isn’t any.
@csmithshine It’s not. If it was, the world would be nothing like it is today.
@csmithshine I couldn’t agree more. What goes around sometimes doesn’t come around a lot of the time
@csmithshine I'm a strong believer in karma, there are to many coincidences in and around my life for it not to exist 🤣😅
Karma is a Buddhist principle that in accordance to dharma, it's the good and bad things one does over the past, present AND future lives which determines where in Samsara or the wheel of reincarnation you'll be reincarnated. It's not what comes around goes around. The whole basis of reincarnation isn't that it's a punishment but that you won't make the same mistakes you did in the past life and do this until you reach Nirvana.
