A pop psychology theory states that teen crushes on celebrities like @justinbieber are a safe way of practicing future adult relationships. I feel the same way about NFTs. A bit silly but even I did not take IPFS seriously until NFTs proved that people would trust it.

Most of the arguments against NFTs and descriptions are stating that the Blockchain is simply an immutable ledger but is glossing over the fact that the Smart Contracts add and immutable verifiable programming layer. This is where the power comes from.
