Cursor can now control your computer. Agents can drive desktop apps like the iOS Simulator to test the features they build.

@tinkerlog Cool stuff

@tinkerlog Nice !

@tinkerlog I agree !

@CNopenmodels Very nice for a lot of uses !

@tinkerlog Nice tip!

Stops coding agents from inventing imports and APIs, and from turning a small bug fix into a sprawling rewrite. Paste into your Claude Code rules or Cursor rules file: 1. Before editing, list every import, function, and package you plan to use. Confirm each one exists in this repo by reading the source file or running a search. If something does not exist, stop and ask instead of guessing. 2. Make the smallest diff that fixes the stated bug. Do not rename, reformat, or refactor code outside the failing path. 3. Run the existing test or build command after each change. If it fails, read the full error, form one hypothesis, and fix only that before trying again. 4. End every task with three lines: files changed, the reason for each change, and anything you could not verify. Bookmark this rule for your next agent session.

@tinkerlog Nemotron is really Good

@HermesAgentLog @tinkerlog Thank you !

@tinkerlog Interesting !

@tinkerlog @MiniMax_AI @OpenRouter @HyperFrames_ Lmao

@tinkerlog Nice!

Five breakout AI repos climbing the charts this week and the specific bottlenecks each one unblocks: 1. anthropics/claude-code → Official CLI adding a retry watchdog that stops unattended runs at distant usage-limit resets instead of hanging, plus OpenTelemetry tracing for observability 2. tamaratran/fast-jev-compaction → ~254 stars/day TypeScript plugin that swaps Claude Code's compaction summary for Jev scoring, cutting context bloat by evaluating every tool call in one fast request 3. rehan-remade/universal-modder → ~471 stars/day Python toolkit pointing Claude Code at any PC game for recon, reverse engineering, and asset generation via fal MCP 4. All-Hands-AI/OpenHands → v1.27.0 ships OpenCode and Pi as built-in ACP agents with full e2e verification on DeepSeek, replacing managed agent platforms 5. browser-use/jev-ultrafast → ~756 stars/day Python web agent claiming fastest and cheapest browser automation, an alternative to hosted scraping services Bookmark this stack for your next build.

@tinkerlog Hoooly

Holy smokes... Claude Code v2.1.301 is out with a handful of quietly powerful changes. • CLAUDE_CODE_RETRY_WATCHDOG_MAX_USAGE_LIMIT_WAIT_MS – unattended retry mode now kills a request cleanly when the next usage limit reset is too far out, instead of idling forever • New % motion in vim mode for jumping to matching brackets, composable with d, c, y • Mods get a rows field on Input: a multi-line terminal text area where Enter submits, Shift+Enter or backslash before Enter adds a new line • OpenTelemetry tool_decision events now carry classifier_verdict and permission_mode to separate auto mode decisions from permission rules, plus classifier_category naming the matched built-in rule • OpenTelemetry tracing setup guidance added to the claude-api skill, configurable with the ant CLI For anyone running unattended agent loops, the retry watchdog fix alone is worth the upgrade – no more stuck processes waiting on a rate limit that won't clear for hours. Vim power users get the classic bracket jump, and mod authors finally have a proper multi-line input widget. The telemetry additions give teams auditable traces of exactly why a tool was blocked or allowed. The quiet trend here: Claude Code is becoming a serious platform for building autonomous workflows, not just an interactive assistant.
