EXCLUSIVE: Elon Musk approached Donald Trump with the idea of slowing down Starlink in Ukraine, The Telegraph can reveal. The billionaire tech entrepreneur approached the US president with the proposal to introduce speed limits on the system, which hampered Ukraine’s drone defences, according to four sources familiar with the discussions. 🔗 telegraph.co.uk/world-news/202…

If Putin stops fighting, the war ends. If Zelensky stops fighting then his country will be occupied, leaders murdered, language banned, businesses stolen, children kidnapped. That's what happens in Russian-occupied Ukraine.

Andrew Tate: "Reading books is for losers...Books are a total waste of time." Kanye West: "I am not a fan of books...I am a proud non-reader of books." Clavicular: "I don't really read books...you could just get the information through summaries and articles." Alix Earle: “I’ve never read a book. Like, maybe Dr. Seuss." Don't be like these people. Pick up a book today.

Hello? Elon Musk says women aren’t “free to think” and that decisions should only be made by “autists” and “high T alpha males.” We must stop normalizing this sick, deviant lunatic as anything but a dangerous parasite on America who must be stopped at all costs. This old 4chan post is like a foundational manifesto for incels to be violent misogynistic psychopaths.

If you are a Canadian citizen, please sign the House of Commons petition to sanction Russian propagandist Alexander Ovechkin and render him inadmissible to Canada. ourcommons.ca/petitions/en/P…

After a couple of weeks of stewing, just couldn't shake the fact that Alex Ovechkin appeared in a pro-Putin ad, and that it would color how people viewed him -- forever. On his 22nd season, his choice -- and his legacy. nytimes.com/athletic/76212…

As I wrote a few days ago in @PostOpinions, Trump doesn’t seem to notice that the bromance is entirely one-sided; Xi didn’t greet Trump at the airport when Trump went to Beijing. Yet, as a token of his unrequited friendship, Trump gave China access to powerful AI chips, paused a $14 billion arms sales to Taiwan, and offered excuses for China providing satellite imagery that enables Iran to target U.S. bases. wapo.st/4rwZif1

NHL stars are entitled to their political opinions. But when they lend their celebrity to a regime waging a brutal war that has brought enormous destruction and death to Ukraine and abducted thousands of Ukrainian children, they should also be held accountable for helping normalize that regime and its crimes. Honoured to have written this opinion with a true hockey hero, @hasek_dominik, on why Canada should hold Alexander Ovechkin to account through sanctions. Here's my latest, for The Hockey News. There's lots of heroes in the hockey world, but Alexander Ovechkin isn't one of them. In fact, his latest endorsement of Putin and his horrendous war assures Ovechkin's legacy will be forever tainted. thehockeynews.com/news/latest-ne…

This is amazing: Kerry Kennedy, niece of President John F. Kennedy, is organizing a rally tonight where people will literally join hands and surround the Kennedy Center to protect it from Trump's demolition plans. Do you stand with Kerry Kennedy? #HandsAroundTheKennedyCenter

People keep saying Trump term II is the most corrupt administration ever, so I built a model to find out if it was true. I took the UN's definition of corruption, turned it into eight criteria and 100 points, and scored the leaders history remembers for looting their countries: Marcos, Suharto, Mobutu, Abacha, Obiang, Putin. Then I put every president since Eisenhower on the same scale, both parties, with every exoneration counted right alongside the convictions. Nixon scored 41 and no other American President scored over a 25. Trump's second term scored a 91, which ties him with Suharto and Mobutu and puts him above Marcos and Abacha. So he is not only the most corrupt president in American history. At this pace he finishes his term level with the most corrupt rulers of the last hundred years. PSA: don't come in my comments arguing about the results if you haven't read the full article, because ignorance is a choice. Full article is up now on my Substack (link in bio) and it's free.

Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin appeared in a campaign video for Putin's "United Russia" party. Participants in Russia's aggression against Ukraine, propagandists, and individuals under sanctions also took part in the filming alongside Ovechkin.

Much has been said by racists, politicians, and racist politicians (like Bo French) about Indians and UT Austin admissions. I thought I should shed some light so their racism could be slightly more intelligent. I'm a brown kid. I grew up in Frisco, went to a massive Texas high school, and went to UT. I would wager that the kids in this picture and I have practically the same background. Like me, they probably went to a massive, pressure-cooker suburban Texas high school, and survived the gauntlet to earn their admissions. These aren’t foreigners. State law requires 90% of UT's freshman class to be Texas residents. 75% of those in-state seats go to automatic admission on class rank. These are Texans. Texas, for better or worse, is one of the few meritocratic college admissions schemes in the country for a school of its caliber. The rules are simple. Today, the top 5% of a public school's graduating class is automatically accepted. There is nothing to game. You can’t fake being a competitive rower or have some consultant write your essays for you. There isn’t anything to steal; it’s all there on the table to compete for. And the competition starts the moment the bell rings for your first period of freshman year. You are ranked in your class every single year, for us, #1 to #450. You knew exactly where you were, exactly how hard you had to compete. My year was even less competitive than it is today. The top 6% made the cut, so that’s an all-out war for ~27 kids to get auto-accepted into UT. So we worked our butts off. Here's what my life was like, starting in kindergarten. Every summer, before the school year started, I had to finish the upcoming year's math textbook. I sweated over getting As, even in elementary school. One funny memory is walking to my parents' room, crying, to report my first-ever 89 on a report card. I did Kumon, my least favorite thing in the world. I still hate that weird half-smile that is their logo. I went to math and science competitions, where I always lost, and came home crying again. (Quite the crybaby, wasn't I!) And everyone else around me worked just as hard. Actually, a lot of the kids worked much harder. I know people who took extra classes (zero period) just to boost their GPA. Who routinely slept 5 hours a night to nail every assignment they had after band practice. Who were distraught when they got a 98 instead of a 100. People who stopped doing things they loved, like sports or arts, because those classes dragged down their GPA. People put their entire life force into getting into this school. I wasn't even in the top 10% of my class. The competition was too good. I wasn't disciplined enough to hang with them. I got in as one of the 22.5% of admits who are at-large Texans. These are American kids who earned their way into this school in the most American way possible. Competition. They were told the rules, they competed, and they got the number. And on Saturday they were in that stadium in burnt orange, screaming their heads off, like every other Texan at DKR or around the country. I can’t feel anything but pride for them. That they get to live the dream that so many of us dreamt growing up! Kids like this have helped improve UT’s standing on the national stage. They made it out of the pressure cooker and placed well in Finance, Big Tech, and more recently, startups. They meaningfully contribute to the economies of our state and country. You should be proud of them too. Overall, this seems like a meritocratic (albeit flawed) way for Texans to be admitted to our state’s flagship school. It’s racially blind. But politicians like Bo French are asking for something different. They want the student body to rebalance racially. Surely they aren’t advocating for affirmative action, are they?

I heard UT graduation this year looked like this. I didn’t believe it. The problem is now obviously far worse than anyone imagined.

They didn’t bother anyone. Just a group of desi college kids living the American dream by simply enjoying their college team comeback and win an incredible game. But we live in a world where platforms are run on racist comments to stoke fear, anger and create division.

HEGSETH IS DECIMATING THE PENTAGON! 80 generals fired, 20% of 4-stars gone. 94% of 1100+ female committee recommendations now IGNORED. The first woman to command a carrier? FIRED. This is a political purge. Women & Black officers are targets. America's security is at risk!

They are lowering US flags to half-mast for a week, but if the government really wants to pay tribute to Dolly, they should fund education, the arts, and medical research instead of trying to eradicate them.
