The big question with the Supreme Court's immunity hearing is not how they rule; it's when they rule. A ruling against Trump that pushes the Jan 6th trial after the election is, in the short term, functionally the same thing as upholding his argument.
@danpfeiffer In other words .. he’s going to win!
@danpfeiffer Which it will. DemoKKKrat snotbogglers lost
@danpfeiffer There are going to be a number of additional appeals before trial. The case isn’t being tried before the election. If they wanted to interfere with Trump running, they should have brought the indictment earlier.
@danpfeiffer Trump can claim immunity all he wants but he has no immunity unless SCOTUS says he does. Until then he is on trial(s) for felony crimes, with all the negative publicity that entails. In the court of public (voter) opinion, delay is not the successful strategy he thinks it is.
@danpfeiffer Don’t we deserve to know it he’s a criminal before we vote? What a disservice to voters.
@danpfeiffer Why do people keep referring to election day as the critical date and not inauguration day?
@danpfeiffer Beer K, Alito, Gorsuch and Harlan Crow's NFT-will rule for remand--to delay further. It comes down to Barrett and Chief Justice Angel Hernandez, to rule in favor of democracy
@danpfeiffer it is also how they rule. Do they make a ruling that sends it back to the DC for endless further delays?
