Dumb question. Is there anything wrong or I should watch out for cutting aluminum cans on a bandsaw? I need small strips about 1" by 6".

@darth_kevin Metal bandsaws run slower. Can you change belts or pulley to slow it down ?
@darth_kevin Aluminum cans make great shims and are handy for mixing epoxy/JB Weld on. I've always got a couple of these lying around the shop.
@darth_kevin You'll get smoother edges using scissors. Aluminum cans are pretty easy to cut, once you've poked the first hole. I'd be concerned about the bandsaw blade grabbing on the soft metal, and the cans will probably squish/bend after the first cut.
