A deputy put the barrel of his gun into a man's mouth and pulled the trigger. It clicked. So he racked the slide and pulled it again. Michael Jenkins lived. This was JANUARY 2023. Braxton, Mississippi. 24 January 2023. A white neighbour telephoned the police to report that two Black men were at a house with a white woman. The homeowner, Kristi Walley, was a childhood friend of one of them. She was in hospital at the time. Six officers came. Five were Rankin County sheriff's deputies. The sixth was an off-duty officer from another force. They broke the front door down. They had no warrant. They called themselves the Goon Squad. Over roughly ninety minutes they handcuffed Michael Jenkins and Eddie Parker, beat them, used tasers on them repeatedly, poured liquids over them, sexually assaulted Parker with an object, and threatened them with rape. They used racial slurs throughout and told the men to go back to Jackson — to their side of the river. Then Hunter Elward put his service weapon in Michael Jenkins's mouth for what the officers later described as a mock execution. The first pull clicked. He racked the slide and pulled again. The round tore through Jenkins's tongue and shattered his jaw. He survived. Read the date again. The twenty-fourth of January, two thousand and twenty-three. Not 1963. Not Mississippi in the era your grandmother remembers. Three years ago, in a house, by men in uniform, who had a name for themselves. What they did next is at nine this morning, and it is arguably worse.

At one point, one of them seemed to doubt they even had the right car. They noticed her KIDS’ CAR SEATS were buckled in the back, but they towed it anyway. Rosalyn came outside and told them flat out: “Y’all got the wrong car.” She told them she’d been at her mom’s house all day, came home at 4, and waited for her kids to get off the bus at 5. Nobody had driven her car. An officer decided her story didn’t match the Flock data and said on camera that she was, “definitely not telling the truth.” Minutes later, Seibert’s Towing hauled her car away. If you think that was insane... well, IT GETS WORSE. About FOUR DAYS later, she finally got a phone call. Her car had been released FOUR HOURS after they took it... because police had already found the person they were actually looking for. NOBODY FROM THE POLICE TOLD HER!!!!! When she went to get her car back, she found it DAMAGED from the tow. The towing company’s VP admitted fault in writing. Then the claim went to insurance, and the company said it could no longer settle with her directly. Her mechanic’s verdict: TOTAL LOSS. Richmond police now admit Flock cameras led them to the wrong vehicle. Meanwhile, Rosalyn has lost wages, can’t get to work on time, and is paying for a RENTAL CAR out of her own pocket just to get her boys where they need to go. She literally did nothing wrong and was home with her kids. THIS IS INSANE!!!!!!!!

United Airlines has not only been shipping weapons components to the Israeli regime during the ongoing genocide in Palestine (itself the crime of complicity under the Genocide Convention), but it has been doing so by hiding them in the cargo of passenger planes filled with unknowing civilians. United Airlines is therefore using its passengers as human shields to unlawfully arm the Israeli regime. These arms onboard constitute an “effective contribution to military action" under IHL, violating the Geneva conventions, and potentially making these planes “military objectives” under the law, eroding or stripping their protected status, and putting every passenger at risk. Hiding these weapons in civilian aircraft also constitutes the war crime of “perfidy” under international law. Doing so during the regime’s ongoing crimes breaches the Arms Trade Treaty. And the act also violates the Chicago Convention on Civil Aviation. United should be sued and boycotted out of existence, and its name should forever become a warning to all who would be complicit in genocide for profit.
