Impressive on the coding/agentic side (Terminal-Bench 4.0 nearly matching Opus 5.5 and beating GPT-6 Astra, plus solid SWE Marathon and 3D/CAD numbers). The real story is the combination of near-frontier performance + half the API price of Opus + open weights by Nov 4. Once the weights drop, this becomes the strongest publicly available open model by a clear margin. Curious how it holds up in independent long-horizon agent evals once people start stress-testing it.

The AI layoffs are here American Express 5% (3,500 jobs) Barclays 5% (5,000 jobs) openly blaming AI eBay 9% (1,000 jobs) Netflix 6% (1,000 jobs) Only one of them is actually calling it AI. The rest are just regular cost cuts wearing new branding. Efficiency is rising. Headcount is not.
