Remain media is saying Brexiteers wanted out of EU to get better trade deals. No, we wanted out to take back control, to make our own decisions. The biggest win so far is watching the EU borrow 806 bn euros without us being responsible for a big chunk of that debt.
@johnredwood So a member of the Party that has increased national debt by £1.8trillion since 2010 whilst almost every public service collapses around our ears on this tiny island criticises a unit of 27 countries borrowing less than half of that between them!
@dave43law @johnredwood Well said. No need for further comment.
@dave43law @johnredwood Ah, but Dave, now...abstractions are more important than tangible benefits for the whole country. And once they figure out what we have actually "taken back control" of, sure we'll all be grand.
@dave43law @johnredwood That's great perspective 👏
@dave43law @johnredwood That red bus didn't say "take back control"
@dave43law @johnredwood A delicious response. Glorying in anyone's shortcomings, to elevate your own status, is always the sanctuary of the failing. In reality, whose life is better since 2010? Who is wealthier, more comfortable, more able to access services, less divided and safer?
@dave43law @johnredwood Beat me to it. And to think this fellow used to be an investment advisor .
