Yaniv went in, pulled the man off the instruments, called two others, and hauled the yoke back because the nose was pointed at the ground. He later said he knew what to do because he had watched Air Crash Investigation. That’s a civilian deciding, in a split second under immense pressure and chaos, that the aircraft was not going to finish the job. Western capitals will spend the next week talking about procedures and statements. What this video actually shows is the thing the West lacks in equal measure. Israelis still move toward the door. They still put their hands on a man who is trying to kill everyone on the aircraft, then worry about a suitcase, then stand there with their children while the Prime Minister touches the blood and doesn’t flinch. That instinct is why our people are still here. The rest of the West keeps waiting for someone else to open the door. I’m so proud, more than ever today, to be an Israeli. The world can hate us all it likes. We fight to save innocent lives no matter what the cost. Our enemies kill innocent lives for a false god and a fake prophet. Israel is home to 50% of the world’s Jews. That’s 7 million Jews dead if the IDF wasn’t there. Today, the BBC live broadcast a man chanting for the death of the only army standing between Jews and another Holocaust. They aired it during the day to millions, including children. The BBC is paid for by the UK public. Was there any delay between the live performance and the broadcast? If there was, then there needs to be proper accountability and action taken in my opinion. Not another feeble apology that they put out every week. Real action. Resignations at a high level as a minimum. Enough is enough.
