My statement following today's result. Congratulations to Festus on his election and thank you to all those who supported me.
Polls are open from now until 10pm! Please use your vote! Bring a facemask and pen to your local polling station. If you didn't return your postal vote, you can take this to your polling station. I would be grateful if you could consider voting for me David Michael for PCC.
A bracing afternoon in Luton with Labour’s fantastic candidate for Bedfordshire PCC @davidforpcc, local candidate Fatima Begum and my friends @SarahOwen_ and @rach_hopkins. Under the Conservatives criminals have never had it so good. That’s why a win for Labour here matters.
It has been a privilege to stand for election as PCC. The support has been incredible heading into polling day tomorrow (Thursday). Regardless of who you vote for, please go and vote! I am standing because I believe that my years of police experience make me the best candidate.
Thank you to Shadow Chancellor Anneliese Dodds, Rachel Hopkins MP and Sarah Owens MP for joining me on the doorstep to speak to residents. A vote for Labour tomorrow is a vote for a professional, visible Police Force with the officers needed to protect you and your family.

My team and I continue to get out and about speaking to residents across Bedfordshire. Despite the weather we were in Luton yesterday hearing from people about their direct experiences of crime. It is vital that we prioritise a visible police presence to help protect our county.
