Finally finished editing my shots from from our excellent day out @ShuttleworthTru 'Best Of British' Airshow last Saturday. I chose the images with the moodiest skies. What a wonderful place.🙏 Shame the WW 1 guys could not fly on the day due to the high winds. Maybe next time🤞
Photographing slightly different wings this time - at The Shuttleworth Collection Airshow on Saturday. This Avro Anson image reminds me so much of the beginning of the 'Flash Gordon' movie. We were lucky to avoid the Hot Hail I thought😁

A Little Grebe sequence today @tophilllow They dive frequently, but capturing them in the act is not easy. It's a good job that my camera is both cleverer and faster than I am.😁
Today's shots of Solo suggest that she may be a little lady. Lack of antler buds - plus the hint of a little white tush developing too. Her feet are quite small, which indicates that she is designed to get really near to a kitchen sink. The clincher for me.😁🫢 @BritishDeerSoc

I haven't managed to get a decent shot of Meadow since June 15th. Pleased to remedy that today. I identify her by the 'L' shape dark hair in the left ear. Of course the method falls down if she is not looking directly at me😂 @BritishDeerSoc
Solo is almost 4 months old now. Still not showing any signs of antler buds. I sort of hope that it is a Mr-rather than a Mrs -but happy with either. Not a Mx if possible🫣 Love these close encounters .Sounds a bit snotty - perhaps I should leave some Calpol out in a small bowl?

My plan today was to capture images of a Kingfisher 'in flight'. A subject kindly turned up, but the reeds were too high to get a classic 'splashdive' shot. It's a start though. Nippy little fellas. These were taken at 1/4000 of a second shutter speed.😱 @nybirdnews @tophilllow
