I do know that the surrounding hype that led up to it DID send people's expectations through the roof. Maybe most were expecting her to fly in on a fenty palette or have fenty booths set up on the field. Mi nuh know.

I certainly wasn't expecting her to come out with fire shooting from her nipples or with a marching band. Rihanna has always been about vibes and letting her dancers shine. Plus, the production was beautiful. Simple is effective.

Also, the people who are underwhelmed by her performance, me feel it fi unu because the performance was VERY VERY Rihanna. Ya'll haven't been keeping up with her for the last 7 years that Parris has been her Choreographer and Creative Director.

Those dancers were doing full-on workouts. The core strength that was needed to do the Pour It Up part 🙌🏾🫡

Got up this morning and listened to Rihanna's set again. She gave us more songs than we realized. Listen to those transitions again 👌🏾 #KissItBetter #WhatsMyName #Cockiness #WhereHaveYouBeen #SandM #BirthdayCake

Cheat Code for writers: Use a speech-to-text app (your computer or software usually has one built in), speak your thoughts, then edit down the text after. You're welcome.

I love the people in my country. At prep school champs and rain started tearing. The guy selling vuvuzellas immediately switched to selling umbrellas. 😂😂 #Jamaica

Great and sustained growth isn't found in huge bursts of energy and massive creative endeavours, but in the simple, boring operations that keep you going.
