Big old day today as we were up at sparrow fart, 2:30am 😂 I tried to pace myself a little today through Stage 10 to make the least amount of errors and to also get a better starting position for tomorrow’s longer 427-kilometre stage. So far so good 😅👍 #Dakar2023

It’s been a good first week, which is what I set out to do – make the rest day and then start to build up the pace on week two. The competition is still very close, and anything can happen as we all know, but I’m focused on doing my best. Let's go👊#Dakar2023
Stage 8, 17th and I’m definitely looking forward to the rest day now 😅 I lost a little time today riding up near the front, but my overall position is still decent. The rocks were super-slippery, too, which meant it was best just to ease off a little rather than risk a crash! 😌

Wild day with my good mate @Sundersam crashing, hope your ok buddy and going to miss you in the camper. Rest of the day was smooth and no big issues, at stage end we were 7th but a few penalties were given today and moved into 5th for the stage. Bring on day ✌️
