I'm pleased to have been selected as a finalist the @SPOGreatMusic / @ScreenComposers film scoring challenge! My submission will be performed by clarinetist Kaye Royer and the @OdinQuartet on March 2 at the @cmcnational in Toronto. Thanks to all involved for this great honour!
I received a superb early Christmas gift this year: my project for the @TOConcertBand received a 2024 @artsnb Creation Grant! I'm very grateful to the artsnb committee for choosing me, and the TCB's director Ken Hazlett for commissioning the work.
Merry Christmas, from somewhere between Australia and New Caledonia!
I've been sitting on some exciting news I can now finally share: I have a commission! The @TOConcertBand recently performed 'Never Waver', which I wrote for the FHS Band, and have requested an original piece commemorating their 10th anniversary as an ensemble. Coming in 2025!
Supreme Leader Ken has a life-changing request for Darby. Find out what it is now in the finale episode of this season of #SpaceJanitors: youtube.com/watch?v=27sHBP…
You're cordially invited to the finale of the new season on June 1 at 7pmEST! Something big is coming. ☄️
Watch the latest episode of #SpaceJanitors now: youtu.be/MEwRGbnu7aA Join us for the finale of the new season on June 1 at 7pmEST! Something big is coming. ☄️
It's here! Episode 3 of an all new season of #SpaceJanitors just dropped! WATCH NOW: youtube.com/watch?v=HS-lUi… Let us know what you think about the episode in the comments. New episodes drop Saturdays at 7pmEST on our YouTube channel. Finale on June 1st! ☄️
I was so gratified to be able to have New Brunswick's own @KatherineMoller and @RobinsonMatte lend their expert playing to the score on this one!
youtube.com/watch?v=tY_SFe… In Space Janitors Episode Two, Olana and the gang do battle with the Clone Troopers over dibs to their not-so-swanky quarters.
youtube.com/watch?v=8FytLx… It took almost a decade, but @spacejanitors is finally back and I'm thrilled to be doing the music once again! In this episode, our Intrepid Hero Darby is tasked by a Mysterious Stranger with rescuing a Very Special Baby.
I got a hold of a @godin_guitars #Multiac late last year and came up with this to show it off. Hopefully I did this beautiful instrument justice! youtu.be/B1fu1V-unJY #guitar #jazz #blues
Before anyone comments: it starts with low notes....!
I'm both delighted and mildly terrified to announce that my piece "Four Courses: A Gustatory Rhapsody" will be premiered by the Helsingborg Symphony on Jan. 6, 2020, under Maestro Stefan Solyom. To say I'm looking forward to it would be like saying the universe is pretty big.
I recorded a polka for my father's birthday. Would have sounded better on accordion of course, but one must make do with what one has. soundcloud.com/david-dedourek…
youtube.com/watch?v=OtSwAv… I think I'm gonna retroactively add 'get a composer credit in a pop music video' to my bucket list, just so I can cross it off. Thanks for making it all happen, @BrackenBurns!
I'm delighted to announce I've been nominated for the #IndieSeriesAwards for best original score on peopleWatching Season 2. Thanks so much to @WinstonRowntree and @glapaire for the opportunity to work on their fantastic show!
#BreakingNews: Season 2 of #PeopleWatching will air on Cracked for international viewers (Canadians can check it out on CBC). New episodes every other day: youtube.com/watch?v=4uFum9…
