@theolloydhughes My hunch is, more reasonable travel for the players would make the league more attractive to international stars and improve player safety in general. America is big, y'all

@JeffKassouf @EqualizerSoccer Not sure this is much better, but I wonder if his response was not so much directed at her as much as summarizing what they would say if someone from the public came calling. I.e., JOC can call it a glowing ref if he wants; it's never going to come back to us.

@growthesunshine Read in in I think 6th grade "gifted" class (that's another story). Teacher had the class act it out impromptu, made stones out of those brown bathroom paper towels wrapped up in tape, was cast as Tessie and am still traumatized. This would have been 1990ish.

@hiyakaiya I'm torn on this - on the one hand, well-informed criticism is valuable and okay and contributes to the development of the sport. On the other hand, as you point out, these are young people often without a ton a resources.

@hiyakaiya Honest question: Do you think the standard should be different for these college players and young professionals than for athletes (almost always male) in the best-paid pro leagues?

@JoeyJadlowski @TotalSoccerShow Similar question: If you're Vlatko, how are you positioning this game in discussions with the players? Are you focused on being the best team for the final, to grab that Olympic spot? Or looking bigger picture? How do you line up, given whatever the answer is to the above?

@CongMikeSimpson Thank you for the statement. Please work across the aisle and consider reasonable background checks and age restrictions on purchasing semi-automatic weapons.

@JeffKassouf As you mentioned, seems driven by players... Suggests that (shocker) clubs lose real value when they fail to create an environment that players want to be in.
