@annabuttercup Good shout. Could put moles marinière on the menu too so nothing goes to waste.

Not quite sure how, but one of the cats caught this poor fella earlier. Which got me wondering- why are moles never muddy? 🤔

Wonderful few days at #jacquesselosse with another memorable tasting with Anselme. Highest of highlights were the 2008, 2010 and Les Chantereines and Les Carelles 2021 tasted still in barrique. Mind blown.

The true wonder of this wine has finally, fully dawned on me, cooking burgers shamelessly on a hibachi grill. Somewhere between Burgundy and Amarone. 10y reserve- complimenti to @cadeimaghiwine

Was in the Woolpack pub in Slad (Laurie Lee’s old local) the other day. I kid you not, spotted a couple, he with a cider, she with a rosé. Inspired me to work on a new cocktail, ‘the Laurie Lee’. First prototype, with ‘help’ from @Annabuttercup , rank.

Hoping somebody out there might be able to direct a quality human with great spirit, ability and enthusiasm for wine and life to become our Wine Manager. A heady mix of retail/restaurant/trade/agency (inc Jacques Selosse) awaits. Generous Finder’s fee if it works out! 🍾

So Kylie Jenner has 37,500 followers for every one of mine. I was fine with that (quality not quantity) until I realised more of my daughters follow her than me. #fail

Forget HS2, just make the *!<#ing wifi on trains work! And improve the range of wines available by the glass. And ban people sat opposite me eating smelly chicken. And ask for proof of deodorant as well as vaccination. Rant over.
