He intentionally stops people for updates before they leave. He expects everyone to come to the office and work during the weekends, and if we have other plans, he shouts at us. I had a panic attack on the office floor, and it is in the medical room records. Even after telling him about my situation, he made me work 13 to 14 hours a day; what if I had died on the floor? Why can’t a portion of these funds be meaningfully used for: 🏥 Emergency medical assistance for employees and their dependents 💰 Financial support during catastrophic medical situations 🧑‍💼 Emergency assistance to employees facing sudden job loss 🧠 Mental-health and counselling support 👨‍👩‍👧 Family assistance during extreme financial distress Professional Tax should not remain merely a collection mechanism. Labour Welfare Fund should mean welfare when employees actually need it. Software engineer Sambhav Jain. Married in 2023 and had a premature child who faced frequent illnesses, leading to heavy medical expenses that forced him into deep debt. The resulting financial strain triggered severe marital discord, culminating in a 2025 divorce with a total settlement agreement of ₹3 crore to his wife. Had already paid ₹1 crore, he was facing an immediate demand for the next ₹1 crore alongside his mounting medical debts. Overwhelmed by financial distress and mental stress, he messaged his father stating he could no longer manage the liabilities before jumping from the 42nd floor in Noida. Sad.

Captain Smit Machchhar is a HERO. In the face of the gravest danger and despite being seriously injured, he showed immense courage and an unwavering resolve to protect the lives of others. His valour helped save hundreds of lives and avert a great tragedy. India is proud of Captain Machchhar. Praying for his speedy recovery, renewed strength and good health.

My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery. Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster. He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals. I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery. He is a true hero.
