Don't be afraid to turn your back from the things that won't help you grow in Christ.
Remaining in God means obeying His commands.
If God seems far away, guess who moved? (John 14:4)
If you want to grow and bear fruit, do one thing: REMAIN IN HIM. Going back and forth won't help. Pulling yourself away from time to time is pointless. Remain in Him. (John 15:4)
"For apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5) Come back to God. Remain in Him.
"Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit." (John 15:5) Fruitfulness is in 'remaining in Him'. You can't be fruitful on your own. You are designed to stay connected in order to bear fruit.
What you do apart from God is pointless. You can be busy, yes, but that doesn't mean your fruitful. Don't waste your effort by doing things on your own. Do it with God. Remain in Him. "and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me." (John 15:4)
Don't be surprised when God starts to remove things or people in your life as you go deeper in your relationship with Him. John 15:2 "He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit.." Not everything/everyone in your life is helping you. Embrace that fact. Embrace growth.
God chooses what we go through. We choose how we go through it.
God created us not just to enjoy things on Earth. He created us for a deeper and noble purpose.
God knows my darkest secret yet He still calls me friend. GRACE.
Lord, thank You for giving me peace within when things around me try to shake me.
Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.” - John 13:7
"But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, 'I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?'" - Acts 19:15 --- Better make sure that the devil gets threatened when you're around. You can't be a friend to the enemy.
